Installation
============
Welcome to TFW: The Awakening! This mod is for Diablo II Lord of Destruction, v1.10 final. The main
download contains everything you need to run the mod. Be sure to download any cumulative patches that
will be announced in the TFW forum at the Phrozen Keep.

You should have two Zip files, the main download and the patch. The main download contains a copy of the
original readme and a self-extracting WinAce archive which has all the base mod files in it. (Many people
do not have WinAce but it compresses more than a Zip, hence the self-extracting executable.)

Make a mod folder in your Diablo II game folder. You can name it anything you want, but "tfw" or "awakening"
are suggested. Copy the self-extracting download package to this folder and run it. Then copy any patch
files.  (Overwrite the main download's copy of cubeops.dll, d2win.dll, fog.dll, skillprereq.dll and tfw.dll
with the copies that come in this patch, even when a patch copy has the same timestamp as the original version.)

If you have two complete installs of Diablo II, and one is version 1.10, install this mod with that version.
Use a shortcut instead of the VB scripts, as the Windows Registry values will probably be wrong.

Please report any bugs in The Awakening Forum at the Phrozen Keep. I provide no support for Maphack and its
cousins, so if you are running one of these "aids" and crash, try the mod without the aid before reporting
the crash.

Warning! This mod is NOT compatible with Mac versions of Diablo II. I have heard you can use a Windows
emulator such as VirtualPC on a Mac, in which case you might be able to run the PC version of Diablo II and
therefore this mod.

Starting the mod
================
TFW: The Awakening is a mod for Diablo II version 1.10 only. If you are currently running any other version,
you must be set up to run 1.10 as an alternate version. To run multi-version, you must have multiple game.exe
(with different names) in your Diablo II folder, and you must have available the patch_D2.mpq and full DLL set
for each version. This package has everything you need to run v1.10 except game.exe, which you must supply
yourself. See the tutorial at the Phrozen Keep for how to set up multiple versions if you are not already
configured.

You can use a launching script, or make your own shortcut. If you make a shortcut, point to the file game.exe
in your Diablo II directory (or whatever your v1.10 file is named if game.exe is for a different version), and
put the mod directory in the Start In box. The target must also have the command line switch "-mod tfw" or
you will not get a valid TFW load (many objects might be named ITH and other strange things will occur).

There are two different launching scripts. Use the script 110-LaunchTFW.vbs if you are running v1.10 currently,
and you have a v1.10 game.exe in your Diablo II folder. Use the script 111-LaunchTFW.vbs if you have a different
version in your Diablo II directory. The second script assumes you have an alternate v1.10 game.exe named
game110.exe; if the alternate you have is named differently, search the script for the line

    D2CmdLine = chr(34) & D2Path & "game110.exe" & chr(34) & "-direct -mod tfw"

and change the "game110.exe" part to whatever your file is named.

As a check, after you have started your first game, look at your debug file (named D2yymmdd.txt, where yymmdd is
a date). The debug file is now located in your mod directory! Near the top you should see something like

18:16:04.468  ------------------------------------------------------
18:16:04.468
18:16:04.468 imagehlp.dll loaded for better stack crawls.
18:16:12.109  GemFix.dll loaded at 6FF30000
18:16:12.234  SkillPrereq.dll loaded at 6F800000
18:16:12.343  tfw.dll loaded at 6F6C0000
18:16:12.343 A valid load of TFW has been confirmed.
18:16:12.515 Opening GDI window at 640x480...
18:16:12.515  Low End Machine: FALSE
18:16:12.515  D2CMPSpriteCacheInit: 512000
18:16:12.515
----------------------------------------------

Note the seventh line in this excerpt, it tells you all the necessary files have been used. If something did not
load properly, you would see "An invalid load of TFW has been detected!" or the line would be completely missing.
Use only the files that come with the original mod and with the TFW patches! Unexpected results can occur if
you use any other copies, even if later versions from other sources.

PlugY and Multiplayer TCP/IP Games
==================================
There is a known issue with the extended stash, shared stash and multiplayer games. I cannot fix this problem,
it requires Yohann's research and correction. Until such time as a suitable plugY might be released, you may
have to turn off either or both extended and shared stash in plugY.ini. Open this file in your mod directory
and look for the lines

	ActiveMultiPageStash=1

	ActiveSharedStash=1

Edit these lines to =0 and save. You will have one 10x10 stash page and the larger Cube and backpack for all
your items. You might be able to mule in single-player with extended stash and shared stash on, but only by
restarting the program completely after modifying these lines back to =1. Any time you take an existing
character from =1 to =0, be sure you have no items on personal pages except the visible stash. I cannot
guarantee this method won't have its own problems, but until Yohann's return it is all I can suggest.

Skills, Skill Scrolls and Skill Books
=====================================
TFW: The Ancients uses a unique skill building system. Each character starts the same, regardless of class:
 10 points in all four major attributes (strength, dexterity, vitality and energy)
 the same equipment, two thrown potion packs, two minor heals and the Horadric Cube
 no starting skills whatsoever

When you level up, you will get a quantity of skill points based on your previous level. (If you get only one
skill point on leveling, the mod is not properly configured.) You can invest skill points in any skill that
you meet the basic requirements for. Each skill level requires more skill points than the previous level, as
shown by the purple text when you display the long form of the skill description.

The maximum unaided skill level is 50. You cannot acquire enough skill points to max out all the skills for
your class. Invest a few points to find out what each does, but concentrate on the skills that enhance your
playing style.

As you adventure, look for leather covers and skill scrolls. Put one cover and a scroll in the Cube to create
a Skill Book which works like a charm (yes, bad pun). You now have access to the skill if you meet the book's
level requirement, even (especially!) if it isn't in your skill trees. If you find another scroll for the same
skill, combine the Skill Book with the matching scroll to advance to the next skill level. The other attributes
that are generated when you first create the book will stay the same, so if you don't like them you must create
a new book. Keep in mind that each advance will boost the level requirement of the book! You can increase up
to +15 with sufficient scrolls, but if the skill is also in your skill tree and you learn that skill using your
skill points, then your maximum benefit will be only +3. (The +15 is still there, if you give the book to a
different character that has not learned the skill.)

Every player skill has a scroll and a book! Due to the underlying game mechanics that allows this feature, a
few skills will not work with certain classes. It is even a possibility some combination might crash the game.
There is no feasible way for me to test all 1470 combinations in a reasonable amount of time.

You must be in the Heart of Rage or Unleashed Fury difficulty to increase a book past +5.

Changes in Town
===============
The vendors still do their usual things, but you might find them exceptionally stingy. If you want to get rich,
you will have to work for it. Akara still sells identification and town portal aids, but they are now Knowledge
Soda and Recall Soda in place of the traditional scrolls.

Gambling is now completely level-dependent, there are no fixed prices. Rings and amulets are not always offered.
All the TFW weapons, armor, rings and amulets can appear as well.

If you look at your character stats screen, you will find four pages of stats that you can view.

There are now four rogue hireling types available from Kashya: Fire, Cold, Lightning and Poison. Other "employment
agencies" will get additional types as we dream them up.

In keeping with a TFW theme, difficulties have been renamed to Anger Arising, Heart of Rage and Unleashed Fury.
These will appear on the difficulty selector buttons and the in-game descriptions at upper right.

Changes in the Field
====================
Characters can build to L200 in this mod. To compensate for an internal limitation near L100 for monsters, the
combat mechanics and experience penalties are adjusted so an L100 character is roughly equal to an L50 monster.
Effective monster level at the start of Heart of Rage is L90, at the start of Unleashed Fury is L140.

Hirelings level up right behind characters. Their level thresholds are closer to player level thresholds. Because
they gain more levels, the per-level stats changes are reduced.

No changes have occurred in quests or quest dialogs, except that the Horadric Cube is now a starter item. If you
lose the Cube, go to the third level of the Halls of the Dead. The recipes for the Horadric Staff, Khalim's Will
and the Cow Portal have not changed.

/Players X can be used up to L127. But many more monster attributes are affected by /players X than just life
and experience. Use /players X with great caution at higher numbers! The effective value for players will show
in the upper right corner of the game screen.

Monster density is a little higher than in the unmodded game, and they can spawn closer to waypoints and area
transitions. Monsters are boosted in several ways to make them tougher.

You will see many more unique bosses and champions. Champion groups can be larger than in vanilla D2.

The resistance floors have been eliminated, including the floor for magical resistance.

You can re-enter the Cow Level, whether you have killed the Cow King or not.

At this point, the revised areas from TFW: Ancients are not implemented, and the TFW monsters (including the
special superuniques) do not appear. That is the next step, along with skills, toward the completion of this
project. Some existing areas are different, and a few labels for the future revisions can be seen.

Changes in Items
================
TFW: Ancients introduced many new items, and all of them are here! I have changed only what I needed to enable
them in v1.10 with very few exceptions. So all the TFW weapons and armor, recipe components and fury gems are
here for your use and enjoyment. (After the alpha phase I may make a website that has specifics about set items
and uniques, but that will be some time down the road.) A few names have been changed (e.g. undead's heart to
champion heartstone, demon's heart to leader heartstone), so use the current list for cube recipes.

Hireling equipment is not intended for player characters. At some point in the near future, it will become
impossible to equip hireling items. Don't get too attached to using their gear!

Some cube recipes will increase item level requirements considerably. It is possible to "stat" your item beyond
all hope of using it! Be careful when applying several level-boosting recipes to the same item.

All runewords present in D2/LoD v1.11 can be made, even some of the ladder-only runewords. Only those few that
were not defined in the local file are missing. In addition, you can make the fury runewords from TFW: Ancients.
I have not yet implemented the extractors and augmented runewords mentioned in Ancients, although some vendors
sell the Greek runes for them.

Traditional gems are the original amethysts, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, topazes, diamonds and skulls. They
have significantly boosted level requirements! Each class has a distinct relationship with a gem. While yet
only a small feature of the mod, look for future changes which emphasize the class gem as a focus for abilities.

     amazon <--> ruby
     assassin <--> amethyst
     barbarian <--> topaz
     druid <--> emerald
     necromancer <--> skull
     paladin <--> diamond
     sorceress <--> sapphire

Socketing and Unsocketing:
==========================
Above and beyond the normal cube recipes, there are two recipe groups for controlling item sockets. The usual
rules for sockets apply to items sold by vendors or dropped from monsters and objects, but recipes allow you to
go beyond these limits. You can even add sockets to an item that has sockets, as long as it isn't a runeword
item---but you can only use recipes that have higher results than the number of sockets the item already has.
For example, you can use a three-socket recipe on a two-socket item, but not a one- or two-socket recipe. You
cannot put sockets into a low-grade item, it must be raised to normal first. All wearable items are socketable,
even rings and amulets; the number of sockets cannot exceed the number of inventory squares the item image uses.
Charms and other backpack-only items cannot be socketed. Here are the socketing recipes, X is a number between
1 and 6:

     normal item + X champion heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets
     superior item + X champion heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets
     magical item + X champion heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets
     rare item + X champion heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets

     crafted item + X leader heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets
     set item + X leader heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets
     unique item + X leader heartstones + Blacksmith's Hammer -> same item with X sockets

Unsocketing can work in two ways. You can unsocket an item with socketed contents and destroy those contents.
Or use a more "expensive" recipe to recover those contents for use in other socketed items. Here are the
unsocketing recipes, X is a number between 1 and 6:

     normal item with X sockets + X mercury pots -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a champion heartstone -> same item, contents recovered
     superior item with X sockets + X mercury pots -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a champion heartstone -> same item, contents recovered
     magical item, X sockets + X mercury pots + X chipped skulls -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a champion heartstone -> same item, contents recovered
     rare item, X sockets + X mercury pots + X flawed skulls -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a champion heartstone -> same item, contents recovered

     crafted items, X sockets + X mercury pots + X standard skulls -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a leader heartstone -> same item, contents recovered
     set items, X sockets + X mercury pots + X flawless skulls -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a leader heartstone -> same item, contents recovered
     unique items, X sockets + X mercury pots + X perfect skulls -> same item, contents destroyed
       add a leader heartstone -> same item, contents recovered

     any runeword item + X mercury pots + 2 champion heartstones + 2 leader heartstones
	 -> same item, contents recovered

Kill Counters and Achievement Awards
====================================
On the second page of your character stats screens, you will find three kill counters, one for each
difficulty. A kill is registered if you or your minion makes the kill, but not if some unrelated effect
(e.g. Blood Raven or Radament death fields) does the deed. As you adventure, you may come across a Sigil
of Achievement. Keep a few of these because there are recipes for turning one into an award (a special
form of charm). You can have one award for each difficulty to recognize achieving a certain number of
kills in that difficulty. As you pass each milestone, combine a Sigil with a knowledge soda and a recall
soda to improve the award into a more and more powerful charm. Only blank Sigils will ever drop, awards
must be cubed. These are the recipes for each difficulty:

     blank Sigil + 1 knowledge soda + 1 recall soda @ 10,000 kills -> 10K Sigil
     10K Sigil + 1 knowledge soda + 1 recall soda @ 50,000 kills -> 50K Sigil
     50K Sigil + 1 knowledge soda + 1 recall soda @ 250,000 kills -> 250K Sigil
     250K Sigil + 1 knowledge soda + 1 recall soda @ 500,000 kills -> 500K Sigil
     500K Sigil + 1 knowledge soda + 1 recall soda @ 1,000,000 kills -> 1M Sigil

Upgrade and Downgrade Recipes
=============================
Recipes that attempt to generate set items or uniques are restricted by the availability rules in Diablo II.
If the upgrade fails (insufficient level or item not defined in the higher grade), a lower-grade item with
increased durability will be created; you will still use up the chest and key. A failed unique attempt
produces a rare item with triple durability. A failed set item attempt will produce a magical item with
double durability. (This indicator isn't visible on items with no durability.) Keep in mind set and unique
items have specific item levels; if you are below their level you will get the fallback magical or rare item
instead. Item levels are not the same as level requirements. This is an inherent problem with the game
itself.

     three identical chipped traditional gems -> flawed gem of the same type
     three identical flawed traditional gems -> standard gem of the same type
     three identical standard traditional gems -> flawless gem of the same type
     three identical flawless traditional gems -> perfect gem of the same type

     flawed traditional gem + rock -> three identical chipped gems of the same type
     standard traditional gem + rock -> three identical flawed gems of the same type
     flawless traditional gem + rock -> three identical standard gems of the same type
     perfect traditional gem + rock -> three identical flawless gems of the same type

     chipped (amethyst + ruby + sapphire + emerald + topaz + diamond) -> chipped skull
     flawed (amethyst + ruby + sapphire + emerald + topaz + diamond) -> flawed skull
     standard (amethyst + ruby + sapphire + emerald + topaz + diamond) -> standard skull
     flawless (amethyst + ruby + sapphire + emerald + topaz + diamond) -> flawless skull
     perfect (amethyst + ruby + sapphire + emerald + topaz + diamond) -> perfect skull

     any low quality item + Magical Chest + Blue key = Magical item of same itemtype
     any normal item + Magical Chest + Blue key = Magical item of same itemtype
     any superior item + Magical Chest + Blue key = Magical item of same itemtype
     any magic item + Rare Chest + Yellow key = Rare item of same itemtype
     any rare item + Sets Chest + Green key = Set item of same itemtype
     any rare item + Unique Chest + Gold Key = Unique of same itemtype

     any magic item + Normal Chest + White key = Normal item of same itemtype
       add a champion heartstone -> Superior item of same itemtype
     any rare item + Normal Chest + white key = Normal item of same itemtype
       add a champion heartstone -> Superior item of same itemtype
     any set item + Normal Chest + white key = Normal item of same itemtype
       add a champion heartstone -> Superior item of same itemtype
     any crafted item + Normal Chest + white key = Normal item of same itemtype
       add a champion heartstone -> Superior item of same itemtype
     any unique item + Normal Chest + white key = Normal Item of same itemtype
       add a champion heartstone -> Superior item of same itemtype

     any low quality weapon or armor + Blacksmith Hammer -> Normal item of same itemtype
     any normal weapon or armor + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil -> Superior item of same itemtype

You can upgrade a basic (a.k.a "normal") weapon or armor to its corresponding exceptional item form, once your
character has reached L50, and you are playing in the Heart of Rage or Unleashed Fury difficulty when you attempt
the recipe. Low-grade items connot be upgraded to exceptional, upgrade to normal or a higher grade first.
Please note the level requirement for this item may increase by as much as 25. Note: this recipe should be
used AFTER the ethereal recipe, if you intend to do both.

     any basic weapon + 2 crafted jewels + unique ring -> exceptional version of the weapon
     any basic armor + 2 crafted jewels + unique amulet -> exceptional version of the armor

You can upgrade an exceptional weapon or armor to its corresponding elite item form, once your character has
reached L100, and you are playing in the Unleashed Fury difficulty when you attempt the recipe. Low-grade items
cannot be upgraded to elite, upgrade to normal or a higher grade first. Please note the level requirement for
this item may increase by as much as 50. This increase is cumulative with the basic-to-exceptional upgrade increase.
Note: this recipe should be used AFTER the ethereal recipe, if you intend to do both.

     any exceptional weapon + 3 crafted jewels + 2 crafted grand charms + unique ring
	 -> elite version of the weapon
     any exceptional armor + 3 crafted jewels + 2 crafted grand charms + unique amulet
	 -> elite version of the armor

There are no downgrade recipes from elite to exceptional, or from exceptional to normal.

The following recipes allow you to make useful ethereal items. Item attributes will be rerolled, and you will
lose any effects of applied fury gems. If you use these recipes on a set or unique item that has previously
been upgraded to exceptional or elite bases, you will attempt to create a new set or unique item of the upgraded
base item, not an ethereal version of the item you already have. Be sure to apply the ethereal recipe BEFORE
you apply the exceptional or elite upgrade recipe. These recipes will increase item level requirements as well,
as shown below.

     Low Grade Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Normal Chest + White Key + Black Oil + 2 Ceramic Pots
	-> Normal Ethereal of the same type (+1 to level requirement)
     Normal Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Normal Chest + White Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Normal Ethereal of the same type (+1 to level requirement)
     Superior Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Normal Chest + White Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Superior Ethereal of the same type (+2 to level requirement)
     Magic Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Magical Chest + Blue Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Magic Ethereal of the same type (+4 to level requirement)
     Rare Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Rare Chest + Yellow Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Rare Ethereal of the same type (+8 to level requirement)
     Crafted Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Rare Chest + Yellow Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Crafted Ethereal of the same type (+8 to level requirement)
     Set Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Rare Chest + Yellow Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Set Ethereal of the same type (+16 to level requirement)
     Unique Item + Blacksmith Hammer + Anvil + Unique Chest + Gold Key + Black Oil + Ceramic Pot
	-> Unique Ethereal of the same type (+16 to level requirement)

     Ethereal item + Zod rune + Anvil + Blacksmith Hammer
        -> same item, Indestructible (+32 to level requirement)

Garbage Collection
==================
You can amass a huge collection of magical rings, amulets, charms and jewels over the course of a campaign.
These recipes will help ease the clutter, if you prefer not selling them to those miserly vendors. The mods
on a new item are limited by your character level.

     3 magical rings (can be class rings) -> magical amulet (never a class amulet)
     3 magical amulets (can be class amulet) -> magical ring (never a class ring)
     16 magical rings -> rare ring (never a class ring)
     16 magical amulets -> rare amulet (never class a amulet)
     16 magical jewels -> rare jewel
     3 magical grand charms -> magical large charm
     3 magical large charms -> magical small charm
     16 magical small charms -> rare small charm
     9 magical amazon class rings + standard ruby -> rare amazon class ring
     9 magical amazon class amulets + standard ruby -> rare amazon class amulet
     9 magical assassin class rings + standard amethyst -> rare assassin class ring
     9 magical assassin class amulets + standard amethyst -> rare assassin class amulet
     9 magical barbarian class rings + standard topaz -> rare barbarian class ring
     9 magical barbarian class amulets + standard topaz -> rare barbarian class amulet
     9 magical druid class rings + standard emerald -> rare druid class ring
     9 magical druid class amulets + standard emerald -> rare druid class amulet
     9 magical necromancer class rings + standard skull -> rare necromancer class ring
     9 magical necromancer class amulets + standard skull -> rare necromancer class amulet
     9 magical paladin class rings + standard diamond -> rare paladin class ring
     9 magical paladin class amulets + standard diamond -> rare paladin class amulet
     9 magical sorceress class rings + standard sapphire -> rare sorceress class ring
     9 magical sorceress class amulets + standard sapphire -> rare sorceress class amulet

Soon enough you would have a surfeit of rare items, so here is what you can do with them if nothing better
comes to mind. The mods on a new item are limited by your character level.

     3 rare rings (can be class rings) = rare amulet (never a class amulet)
     3 rare amulets (can be class amulet) = rare ring (never a class ring)
     10 rare rings + Ceramic Pot + 6 perfect skulls -> unique ring (never a class ring)
     10 rare amulets + Ceramic Pot + 6 perfect skulls -> unique amulet (never a class amulet)
     8 rare amazon class rings + 4 perfect rubies + leader heartstone -> unique amazon class ring
     8 rare amazon class amulets + 4 perfect rubies + leader heartstone -> unique amazon class amulet
     8 rare assassin class rings + 4 perfect amethysts + leader heartstone -> unique assassin class ring
     8 rare assassin class amulets + 4 perfect amethysts + leader heartstone -> unique assassin class amulet
     8 rare barbarian class rings + 4 perfect topazes + leader heartstone -> unique barbarian class ring
     8 rare barbarian class amulets + 4 perfect topazes + leader heartstone -> unique barbarian class amulet
     8 rare druid class rings + 4 perfect emeralds + leader heartstone -> unique druid class ring
     8 rare druid class amulets + 4 perfect emeralds + leader heartstone -> unique druid class amulet
     8 rare necromancer class rings + 4 perfect skulls + leader heartstone -> unique necromancer class ring
     8 rare necromancer class amulets + 4 perfect skulls + leader heartstone -> unique necromancer class amulet
     8 rare paladin class rings + 4 perfect diamonds + leader heartstone -> unique paladin class ring
     8 rare paladin class amulets + 4 perfect diamonds + leader heartstone -> unique paladin class amulet
     8 rare sorceress class rings + 4 perfect sapphires + leader heartstone -> unique sorceress class ring
     8 rare sorceress class amulets + 4 perfect sapphires + leader heartstone -> unique sorceress class amulet

You can re-roll certain items to attempt an improvement in their stats. When re-rolling set items and uniques,
(e.g. rings and amulets) it is possible to get a different item than you started with. But the base type will
stay the same, even if it is class jewelry, unless otherwise stated.

     set weapon + perfect emerald + perfect sapphire -> re-rolled set weapon of the same type
     set armor + perfect topaz + perfect ruby -> re-rolled set armor of the same type
     set ring + perfect amethyst + perfect diamond + perfect skull -> re-rolled set ring
     set amulet + perfect amethyst + perfect diamond + perfect skull -> re-rolled set amulet

     3 set rings -> set amulet (never a class amulet)
     3 set amulets -> set ring (never a class ring)

     unique weapon + perfect emerald + perfect sapphire + leader heartstone
	 -> re-rolled unique weapon of the same type
     unique armor + perfect topaz + perfect ruby + leader heartstone
	 -> re-rolled unique armor of the same type
     unique ring + perfect amethyst + perfect diamond + perfect skull + leader heartstone
	 -> re-rolled unique ring
     unique amulet + perfect amethyst + perfect diamond + perfect skull + leader heartstone
	 -> re-rolled unique amulet

     3 unique rings -> unique amulet (never a class amulet)
     3 unique amulets -> unique ring (never a class ring)

Too many seemingly-useless reagents and not enough heartstones? These recipes take a lot of
components; they are meant to be difficult.

     12 mushrooms + 12 rocks + 12 black oils + 12 flasked oils + 12 wolfskins
	 -> champion heartstone
     60 champion heartstones -> leader heartstone

Most of the usual Diablo II miscellaneous recipes are all working. These would be

     any magic item + 3 any perfect gems and/or skulls -> re-roll magic item
     any rare item + 6 perfect skulls -> re-roll low level rare item
     any rare item + perfect skull + Stone of Jordan -> re-roll high level rare item
     3 any health potions + 3 any mana potions + any gem -> full rejuvenation potion
     3 any health potions + 3 any mana potions -> small rejuvenation potion
     3 small rejuvenation potions -> full rejuvenation potion
     magic amulet + perfect ruby + perfect amethyst + perfect topaz + perfect emerald
	+ perfect diamond + perfect sapphire -> prismatic amulet
     magic ring + 1 perfect ruby + exploding potion -> garnet ring
     magic ring + 1 perfect sapphire + thawing potion -> cobalt ring
     magic ring + 1 perfect topaz + small rejuvenation potion -> coral ring
     magic ring + any emerald + antidote potion -> jade ring
     any axe + any dagger -> normal grade throwing axe
     any spear + any arrow quiver -> normal grade javelins
     any sword + 3 chipped gems -> magic, socketable sword (of same sword type)
     any magic shield + any spiked club + 2 any skulls -> shield of spikes (of same shield type)
     any magic sword + 4 health potion + any ruby -> sword of the leech (of same sword type)
     any kris + any staff + any belt + any diamond -> brutal polearm
     strangling gas potion + health potion -> antidote potion
     2 arrow quivers (non-replenishing) -> bolt quiver (non-replenishing)
     2 bolt quivers (non-replenishing) -> arrow quiver (non-replenishing)

Fury Gems - the Good Stuff
==========================
Your findings might include some odd minerals that have purple text and resemble gems in their properties.
These are Fury Gems, a TFW special feature. While they are socketable and can be used in certain runewords,
their real power is in augmenting item properties. Each fury gem has a property that applies to one or more
item types, just like traditional Diablo II gems. But cube a fury gem with an item which is of the type
displayed, and that property is permanently melded to the item. You can accrue properties on each item to
quite high levels by successively cubing more fury gems to it. You are limited to cubing up to around 25 or
so properties on any single item; the game gets unstable and may crash if your items get too complex. And
cubing more of the same property can increase its potency, up to the property's limit. Choose your fury gem
stats wisely!

Fury gems can be cubed into normal, superior, magical, rare and crafted items only.

There are 75 fury gems, sequenced by gem level. You can cube three fury gems of the same type to get the next
higher fury gem. This is not quite the same as regular gems, it would be like cubing three chipped amethysts
to get a flawed ruby.

There is a database covering many aspects of Fury Gems available in the TFW Forum at the Phrozen Keep.

Runes and Runewords
===================
One additional rune has been added at the top of the heap, the Ski rune. You can cube to get better runes,
but it gets progressively harder the higher in value they get. You can also cube downward, but you will get
only one rune out. In the Runeword Table below, any runeword marked "future word" is a variant using the
not-yet-implemented rune extraction system. The itypes columns refer to groups of equipment you either see
as a class (e.g. Mace Class) or by function. One runeword (Exile's Path) shown as "paladin" itype refers to
a Paladin's class shield.

     2 runes (r01 to r10) -> next higher rune (r02 to r11)
     3 runes (r11 to r20) -> next higher rune (r12 to r21)
     4 runes (r21 to r28) -> next higher rune (r22 to r29)
     5 runes (r29 to r33) -> next higher rune (r30 to r34)

     rune + rock + blacksmith hammer (r02 to r34) -> next lower rune (r01 to r33)

Runewords can be made using normal, superior or magical items.

Known Bugs and Peculiarities
============================
The rune extractor system from TFW: Ancients is still present, but there is no mechanism for changing these runes
to magical or rare runes. It never worked as expected in the original mod (runes aren't jewels), but I won't
remove the work DeathScythe & SilenTx went through to create this system until I cannot find a way to meet their
intent. Extracted runes must be made, they don't drop, so don't make them and you won't know the difference.

The skill descriptions do not turn white as long as unused skill points remain, even if there are no skills the
points can be applied to, or not enough points to put into any skill. The red text has the current skill values,
this is cosmetics and I'll address it later.

The Hectic magical prefix increases the durability of a spear-class weapon. Because of the way the maxdurability
stat works, the effects of the prefix do not show up as a separate line in the item description the way most
affixes do. Look for an abnormally high durability if you see the prefix and nothing else.

There are hardcoded limits of 27 passive skills, and 60 skills showing on the speedbar. Holding enough Books of
Skill to exceed these limits will probably crash your game.

The Hireling plugin has a few annoyances to watch for. You should always open the hireling pane and add equipment
using the "paper doll" locations. Sometimes, if you have just acquired your hireling, you cannot equip anything:
the item has a green background (permitted to use) but it doesn't snap into place. If this happens, start another
game and you should see normal behavior. Occasionally the item snaps into place, but the next time you look it is
not shown. Almost always, the item is still there but hidden. You can check by trying to substitute something
else, and the hidden item comes away on your cursor. Arrows will serve to "release" a hidden bow. Dropping an
item on the game screen icon can lose the item once and for all, so this method is strongly recommended against.

Weapons:
========
  1. Added new type of weapons to give way for the new sets.

  4. New sets added for weapons...
  5. Lots of new inventory item gfx for weapons...

* Added Tons of New Items (didn't remove any from original LoD items)...
This way TFW is like an expansion of an expansion* duh?!

*Thanks to Joel for some cool inventory graphics*

How they differ from one another?? Well base AC and base damage of the items
	are alot better! and some of them has an automagic that doen't need to
	be magical to have magical powers... I'll try to list some of them...

=Death Blades has an upgrading poison damage based on item level...
=Flaming Sword and Burning Fists has an upgrading Fire damage...
=Fossil Staves has an upgrading mana regen...
=Katana has an upgrading Increase attack speed
=Jagged Katar has an upgrading damage to undead
=Bronze axes have damage to demons enhanced
=Bended Arcs > upgrading attack rating
=Elf Arcs > attack Rating to undead
=Lethal Boots > upgrading kick damage/level
=Demon Mask > Demon Heal
=Crane Claws > upgrading chance to openwounds
=Cloaks > upgrading faster run/walk
=Auric Boots > all have an aura but only level 2 based on item level

and a lot more... discover them all!

Itemtypes:
==========
Lots of new itemtypes. Lots of them can acquire skills like Orcish Boots for Barb,
	Lethal boots for Assn and a lot more...

Difficulty:
===========
  The Fury Within Simulates 6 player game... all monsters has x6 HP.
  Slightly Increased Monster Density and increased their damage...
  Reduced Hp of Elder, Priestess and Butcher

Experience:
===========
  Normal=x2, NM=x3 and Hell=x5
  Max level was now clvl 100..
  Reduced Exp. gain from Butcher, Priestesses and Elder

Gems:
=====
  Original Gems are improved in terms of stats... Better see it for yourself...

Fury Gems:
==========

1.Each Fury Gems has special powers that when you transmute to any item but
	with restrictions based from the powers they can have... You can create
	your own item... So more gems collected, more mods and stats for your
	favorite item... It will work in Normal, Magic and Rare items...
2.75 New Fury Gems That you can play with...
3.Restrict mods allowed to somewhat 35-40 (cant remember the exact)
4.You can now upgrade fury gems... Combine 3 of the same type and you'll get 1
	higher lvl fury gems...
5.Since you can now socket them, We added rarity, level and lvl requirement...
6.How can I know if my fury gem can transmute to a Helm?? well, its pretty obvious
	if the Fgem doesn't have a property listed for helms then you can't
	combine it to your favorite helm...

*Thanks to Riparious for Fury Gem Graphix*

Runes:
======

1. Added new type of Rune which is Higher than Zod...It is the Ski(r34) rune...
2. Runewords are now working!
3. Added New Magical and Rare Runes to customize or randomized Runewords!
	How???

If you didn't notice, Runes have a maximum of 5 different combinations:
	i.e. El Rune = 2 different mods (Weapon/Helm,Shield)
	     Eld Rune = 3 different mods (Weapon/Helm/Shield)
	     Tir Rune = 1 different mod (Weapon,Helm,Shield) and so on...

So Here's the Logic... To extract the Weapon mod from El rune, you will need an
Alpha Rune so the result will be...

El Rune + Alpha Rune + Mercury Pot = Normal Ela Rune (with +1 to light rad and
	50 to attack rating) to randomize the runewords, you have an option to
	make Magical or rare Ela Rune and gues what? the (+1 to light rad and
	50 to attack rating) is always there as an automagic and use it
	in any runewords using El Rune for weapons such as Runeword
	"Honor". More randomized, more mods and more powerful runewords!!!
	Here are the Runes you can extract:

El Rune (Weapon)			Ela	x01
